My subject line says it all. You cannot exercise away poor eating habits. Many of us think we can indulge whenever we want, eat foods with no nutritional value whatsoever and just "hit the gym". I am sorry to say it doesn't work that way. Eating that donut and going out for a run don't cancel each other out.
Diet and exercise go hand in hand for a healthy lifestyle. When you have poor eating habits, your exercise performance suffers. That means you will never be able to get the most out of your workouts because your body isn't supported correctly, nor is it burning the calories you want.
Your diet plays a huge role in losing weight and maintaining your health. Are you eating enough fruits and veggies? Do you give in to cravings for sweets or fattening foods regularly? What's your fiber intake like? Are you drinking your calories (soda, energy drinks, alcohol)?
Time to reboot your eating habits and cleanup your diet!
*Make sure what you are ingesting is whole and real (nothing processed)
*Fill your plate with colorful fruit and veggies
*Make wise choices with your protein (keep it lean)
*The fats you choose should be healthy ones like olives, nuts and seeds
*Steer away from white flour and reach for whole grains like quinoa, farro, buckwheat, brown rice and oats
I am happy to help you analyze your diet and see where we can make adjustments to keep you healthy and energized.
Combining exercise WITH a healthy diet is definitely the best way for you to feel great inside and look good outside.
