Ok, here is my number one most important tool (this week) to help you lose weight and feel great. EAT SLOWLY!

Slowing down during meals can be a simple yet effective strategy to reduce calorie intake without the sensation of actively restricting yourself. You won't even notice you are cutting calories.

Try to set aside a minimum of 20 minutes for each meal. This approach involves taking smaller bites, creating longer gaps between bites, and practicing mindful eating, all of which promote being fully engaged in the meal instead of being hurried or distracted. Focus on really chewing your food as well. Often we don't chew long enough which results in gas and bloating as the body struggles to break down your food.

This slower, deliberate pace allows ample time for your gut hormones and stomach's stretch receptors to transmit signals to your brain before overeating occurs. Consequently, this practice results in the consumption of fewer calories over the course of the day and helps prevent excessive fullness and post-meal fatigue. You don't want to walk away from the table feeling stuffed like a turkey. You should feel satisfied (not full.)
