Tweak Those Bad Habits
I have a 9 page intake form. It was not created to drive new clients crazy. This form was created to get to the bottom of my clients' habits. Beginning a health journey isn't easy. It's not just about losing a few pounds. Creating healthy habits is key to your success. We dissect each habit and see what your day to day is like and what we can adjust. Here are just a few for you to get started.
- Habit 1 - Sleep more- Did you know that getting even just an hour more of sleep at night will cause you to consume less calories? Research has shown that people consumed on average 270 fewer calories per day (published in the journal JAMA Internal Medicine). This is equal to 9 pounds per year!
- Habit 2 - What are you drinking? - What's in that coffee? Most people don't even realize how many calories they are drinking throughout the day. Whether it's what is being loaded into their innocent coffee or perhaps that flavored water that is packed with artificial sweeteners. Tweaking this one thing can save you hundreds of calories per day. Try green tea with a little raw honey and know you are doing something great for your body.
- Habit 3 - Are you exercising enough? - Time blocking is essential for me to get my workouts in. I hear from clients daily they just don't make the time to workout (notice they didn't say they don't "have the time"). Blocking out at least 30 minutes of your day to do a moderate to intense cardio activity is a habit that you need to create and maintain.
