4 Tips to Incorporate More Veggies by Boca Raton Weight Loss Ctr

Let's face it, 90% of us don't eat enough fruits and vegetables (don't believe me? This is according to the Center for Disease Control). The physical and mental health benefits of fruits and vegetables are proven. Individuals who eat a suitable amount of fruits and vegetables have better heart health, live longer, and have a reduced risk of cancer. Below are 4 easy swaps you can make to throw that statistic out the window.

 

  1. Swap greens for bread. You have heard of lettuce wraps right? I have a great recipe below for truly yummy fajitas with no tortillas. Trust me, it's great!
  2. Use veggies as chips or fries. Cut zucchini into fry shape and roast on high heat, or better yet, use your air fryer. You won't even miss the "real" fries!
  3. Make veggie rice or noodles. Zoodles are everywhere! Cauliflower rice too. I promise you, they are delicious.
  4. Use herbs and spices instead of condiments. No more ketchup, mustard, mayo...you don't need it. Replace with basil, thyme, rosemary and the million other delicious spices that are available.

 

Let's aim for 2-3 cups of vegetables per day. Improve your physical and mental health.
